4x4's of the modern time

When it  comes to driving to rough roads and terrains, nothing compares to 4x4's. they can sweep through intense rocks, slippery mud and thick snow. In this Article, I will list the top 4x4's of all time and explain why they are good for off road situation. However this list will not prove that everyone will agree but, this is a my point of view only.

The Nissan Patrol, This all terrain jeep started to produce since 1951. Considered to be vehicles for the military.  On the 60's this Vehicle become commercially produce to the public.

Toyota Land Cruiser was first born on the 50's. Also same with the Nissan Patrol It serves as a militaty vehicle. By the mid 50's this 4x4 made from Japan was sold in public. Considered by many being one of the best on Off road.

On the 60's Ford released their 4x4 name the Bronco. it is ford first all terrain jeep and set the mark for the company on the 4x4 competition  decades later, the Bronco was replaced by ford to all we know the Expedition. Ford's Other 4x4 is the Explorer. It was said to start the SUV trend in the 90's

Chevrolet today, are still one of the companies to produce 4x4's. their inspiration started on th 60's whe they introduced the Chevy Blazer. On that time the Blazer are one of the vehicle that looks the same in today 4x4's.

The Company Land Rover is popularly known to be the 4x4 producer in the United States. On the 70's they first issued the Range Rover, which today considered by popular people to serve as bullet proof vehicles. In the 80's the Defender was introduced an later on renamed as the Discovery.

The Brand Suzuki also release their own version of 4x4's the Samurai. Considered to the the small form of all 4x4 of its time with only two seater and an open  compartment at the back. Shortly followed the released of Vitara. Same build with the Samurai but with a modern touch to it.

One of the Elegant and known to be sports type company Lamborghini, they first introduced their top of the line 4x4 the LM-002. This Vehicle was first prototype as a only military vehicle named the Cheetah.

Porsche also join the 4x4 craze. Named the Cayenne it is commonly used by Rally events worldwide.

Hummer the widely known company to build the best 4x4 in the modern era. The H1 was first used by  the military in the early 90's but later on sold in public. Today it is one of the 4x4's that are commonly used in the movies.

How to Drive in the Offroad with no hassles

When riding on your Truck or Jeep on a steep sand or Snow. It can be challenging for those people inexperienced to drive offroad.  So I will make a few short list on how you will perform better on the sand.

First  When you're riding through deep sand  you should inflate your tires It gives area to spread the weight of the vehicle.  Second, use Different tire in every surfaces.  Balloon tires are round and wider than other offroad tires usually use by ATVs. Third, Do it on a pace. Keep the pace somewhat faster so you don't bog down in deep areas. Fourth, Beware of Muddy Ruts. Always Be careful that you don't allow them to lead you somewhere where you don't want to go. Lastly There will be rough snow and light snow. he rough snow keeps you from sinking, but can be more slippery. Avoid steep inclines.

What if you Get Stuck?

If your Truck get stuck upwards  or down. Do not depress your clutch. this will cause you to free wheel offroad and lose control. To be safe, turn off your engine and step on the breaks very hard. Put your vehicle on reverse, followed by clutching out.

Other instances are getting stuck on the rock or logs. Always look for a way that will not damage your vehicle. Use some Jack to make clear on the rocks. Also the great way to get unstuck is with a winch.  you can anchor your vehicle to the other and slightly pull out your truck away.

Your mentality on Offroad Driving

Always focus on the road and make sure your driving on the good path. Keep your self calm and do not put your self into deep preasure. Spend your time constructively. Think through all your available options.

Doing Some Trails

Always remember when trailing offroad, Keep on the right track so that you will get lost. Do not spin your tires and dig up the soil, it may lead to erosion when it rains. Keep you ego away from driving. you may think that you already take a deep drive down the rocks or mud which may cause some serious accident. And lastly repsect the widlife, other living creatures are living near the trails.

If you do take all of the tips and safety procedures, the you are ready to drive out and have fun.

I suggest  Truck Leveling kits  because it serve other functions also such as adding extra clearance space for larger tires and wheels or better rear wheel performance while towing or hauling heavy loads.

Prepare Your Offroad Vehicles for Desert Season

It’s that time of year again. The crisp smells of autumn, the trees shedding their summer green for hues of gold and crimson; and for those of us who love to shred sand, it’s time to pull that dusty Offroad Vehicle out from its spot in the garage.

If the fuel is old or gets water in it you could have a poor running engine, or worse, a no running engine.  But there really is a lot more to it than just fillin' her up, especially if your ATV has been sitting for any length of time.  Your tires are your only connection to the ground. They not only allow your ATV to roll, they can also allow it to slide, which is important when riding offroad.  The drier the sand, the lower you will want to set your tire pressure.  What may have been the right pressure settings for your tires in March may not be right after a long dry summer in October.  Your quad won't run without a good supply of clean air.  Taking a few minutes to remove and clean your air filter and air box at the beginning of a new season will go a long way to allowing your quad’s motor to reach its’ maximum potential. Your drive chain is what take power from the transmission and sends it to the rear wheel.  If your chain fails while your out in the middle of the desert or miles into a wooded trail it could be a long trip back. If your quad has a mechanical issue which needs to be dealt with, I PROMISE you it’s better to figure it out at home in your (relatively) clean garage surrounded by your tools than fixing it out on the trail when all your buddies are revved up and waiting to go ride.

So there you have it, these few simple TLC chores before the season begins will have you ready to hit the trail with a ride ready to purr and growl.

I Use  Nerf Bars  for offroad tours and travelling to rough roads. Protects the sides of my vehicles and also keeps their tires from becoming entangled.

Tips for Offroad Driving

Before you head off road, use the following checklists to make sure that your vehicle is up for the trip, your on-board toolbox is properly stocked with the right tools.  Having the right parts on-board could make the difference between walking out and driving out. Make sure that you have extras on hand for each of the following parts to fit your 4WD vehicle.   A good rule of thumb is to take along anything that has already broken twice, because the odds are, it could happen again.  To determine whether your 4x4 vehicle is trail ready and capable of surviving a trip off-road, first do a visual inspection - inside and out. Then, take a few minutes to more closely inspect the inner workings of your ride.  Having the right parts on-board could make the difference between walking out and driving out. Make sure that you have extras on hand for each of the following parts to fit your 4WD vehicle.

In general, 4-wheel drive refers to a vehicle's drive train system that can send power to all four wheels, but the four wheels are not necessarily under power all at the same time.  Full-time 4WD doesn't provide as much mobility off-road as part-time 4WD does, because the system is designed such that it allows a set of wheels (front or rear) to spin if they don't have traction.  Vehicles with part-time 4WD systems should not be driven on dry, smooth road surfaces when in 4WD mode, or you will soon be spending a lot of money on repairs. Automatic 4WD vehicles are not recommended for serious off-road driving because all four wheels are powered at all times, which is not wise under certain off-road conditions.  The high range ratios in 4WD mode are the same as the gear ratios in 2WD. 4L is for creeping along at slow speeds. It reduces the strain on your vehicle, just remember to stay below 25mph in low range.  Don't change gears in the middle of a water crossing, going up or down hills, or in sand dunes.  Don't operate 4WD on hard dry surfaces. And when in doubt, use a lower gear!

I Use  Nerf Bars  for offroad tours and travelling to rough roads. Protects the sides of my vehicles and also keeps their tires from becoming entangled.
